The Reference and Research Division of the Auburn Avenue Research Library provides research consultations— a private one-on-one meeting, to gain the information and skills needed to succeed with research assignments. This service is solely designed for those with in-depth questions who would like to talk one-on-one with a reference librarian.
Use this sign-up form to schedule both an onsite appointment with a reference librarian or a virtual consultation. How will a library research consultation help me succeed with my assignments?
A library research consultation will help you learn to do the following:

  • Find and use the best scholarly information
  • Search the library catalog for books
  • Choose and search appropriate online databases for journal articles and more
  • Cite the sources you use in the proper style (APA, MLA, or other)

Appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance

Public Access to the Haines Criss+Cross Directory - Onsite Access Monday, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. or Wednesday, 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Due to limited staffing and security concerns, onsite public access to the Haines Criss+Cross Directory is on an appointment-based schedule. Currently, FCLS will be unable to accommodate unscheduled walk-in requests. Appointments can only be made for the following two-hour time slots, Monday, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. or Wednesday, 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Patrons can make appointments for onsite access to the Haines Criss+Cross Directory by the following methods.

  • Call the AARL Reference and Research Public Service Desk at 404.613.4101
  • Email the AARL Reference and Research Public Service Desk at aarl.reference@fultoncountyga.gov
  • Submit an online AARL Research Consultation Form below specifying the purpose of this consultation is onsite access to the Haines Criss+Cross Directory
  • Email FCLS Special Collections Staff John Wright at  John.Wright@fultoncountyga.gov and/or Kelly Cornwell Kelly.Cornwell@fultoncountyga.gov
