CLASS PASS FAQs

CLASS PASS FAQs

  • A CLASS PASS account is for Atlanta Public Schools students and educators. It does not collect late fees. If the account becomes blocked due to a lost item, a CLASS PASS account holder can remove the fee by completing a simple writing task.

  • All library notices will be emailed to your APS email address. If you do not know your APS student email address, on your APS laptop open MyBackPack and scroll down to see your email inbox.

Students may also go to portal.office.com. Sign in with APS credentials followed by @student.apsk12.org and you will have access to your APS Outlook email and all Office apps.

You may also log into My FCLS at the top right corner of the library's website. Enter your student username in the Username or Barcode field and your PIN in the Password field. The PIN for a neighborhood school student is your lunch number. The PIN for a charter school student is your birthday in MMDD format.

  • Students should add WB in front of their username (APS assigned 8 letters + 4 numbers). Example: If a student’s CLASS PASS is KPULLMAN1234, the student would type WBKPULLMAN1234. This code is case sensitive; caps are needed. If a student’s name is shorter than 8 characters, fill in the letter "A" until 8 characters are reached. For example, Jane Doe’s CLASS PASS username for World Book is WBJDOEAAAA1234. Educators should add WB in front of their Lawson Number + the number of As needed to bring the total characters to 8.  Ask a Librarian for help if you need it!

  • CLASS PASS accounts are fine-free, however, any item more than 60 days late will be considered lost and result in your account being blocked and billed for the catalog price of the item. A CLASS PASS account holder may clear a blocked account by writing a short review of a book.

  • Parents may choose to opt their child out by completing an opt-out form online. If you are unable to access the online form, you may pick up a paper form from your child's Media Center or from your school's Media Admin. Complete your opt-out form online.

Note: Parents who choose to opt their child out of this program limit their child’s access to fine-free public library resources. Students may be encouraged to use library resources to complete assignments.

  • Visit Ask a Librarian and chat with a member of our staff.
