Throughout the spring, teens attended monthly career and job training workshops hosted by volunteers from our partners at Best Buy and Microsoft, as well as local non-profit youth-serving organizations. There, the participants learn how to build a good resume, network, and develop good interview skills. At the end of these workshops, eligible teens were presented the opportunity to work as interns at local Best Buy and Microsoft retail locations in the summer months. Teens were formally introduced to, interviewed by, and selected by Best Buy retail general managers. As a result, 12 of our teens- both juniors and seniors- were selected as interns.
