The Best Buy Teen Tech Center welcome the Girl Scouts once again last Saturday. However, this time the focus would be on A/V (audio and video). Instructed by our in-house A/V technician Wolfgang gave a quick lesson on everything involving videos, lightening, and audio. After the lesson, the girls divide into groups to start filming. For their short film, they would interview their scout leader. With Wolfgang asking the questions, the girls would be in charge of keeping the camera rolling, the lightening equipment, and audio equipment. In sessions, the girls would take turns filming. When it wasn’t their turn, the group would relax by drawing on the Wacom tablets. Once filming was finished, the girls celebrated by singing Karaoke. Showing off their vocal skills one by one, the talented girls were applauded.
Afterwards, everyone was handed a certificate for completing the course. All in all, this program was a great insight into the A/V world and showed the girls how they can apply these skills to their own creative endeavors. However, this is not the last of the A/V program as Wolfgang will be restarting his Next Gen Film Camp for teens on Mondays at 4pm.
