Earlier in the year, Best Buy Teen Tech Center (BBTTC) hosted a scholarship workshop with a representative from the United Negro College Fund and introduced our senior clubhouse members to the UNCF-Best Buy Foundation Scholars Program. This multi-year partnership program offers a scholarship to minority, low-income high school seniors with high academic and leadership promise and who are planning to enroll in undergraduate degree programs. It covers up to $10,000 per academic year and $40,000 for up to 4 academic years. In our first year presenting this opportunity, we had one scholar, but in 2025, we had four! Working with the BBTTC staff, our scholars were able to archive their dreams. Our seniors are currently attending Georgia State University, Georgia Institute of Technology, Kennesaw State University, and Rutgers University.
