Get ready to celebrate A Very Laufey Day 2025 on August 24th! "A Very Laufey Day" is an unofficial holiday that coincides with the album release of Grammy award winning artist Laufey.
Laufey, an Icelandic singer and cellist, will be releasing her third studio album, "A Matter of Time" on August 24th. Laufey's fans, called "Lauvers", are preparing to celebrate by dressing in Laufey's style, drinking specialty drinks (such as berry and matcha), and visiting libraries and bookstores. Fans can also stream Laufey's music on Freegal, a free music site! Freegal allows patrons to create playlists and download music, so Lauvers you can host your own listening party on A Very Laufey Day.
To commemorate this special occasion, Fulton County Library System has partnered with the Laufey Book Club to bring a beautiful, limited-run library card design to our patrons to kick off National Library Card Sign-up Month in September. Lauvers will be able to sign up for a new collectible card or exchange their existing library card beginning on Monday, August 25th while supplies last. Signing up for this collectible card is a great way to not only celebrate Laufey, but to also express your love for reading and music!
