Community Quilt + Storytime and Quilts Recap

"Quilt Storytime and Craft. Central Library. 03/11/26."Central Library's Children's Department celebrated Women's History Month by honoring author and quilter Faith Ringgold through a quilting craft and storytime. Our children's librarian, Mrs. Leilani, engaged families in a fun storytime with Faith Ringgold's Tar Beach, a story about a young girl who flies across the world. This story teaches young readers that using their imagination to dream bigger than life as they know it could take them anywhere. Later, fabrics, glue, scissors, and templates were provided for everyone to create quilt squares for the community quilt. See pictures of all the fun below! Click picture to enlarge.
