Summer Reading may be ending, but programming at the Milton Library continues! Alongside our regularly scheduled ongoing programs, we’d like to highlight a few special events coming up this August.
GeekCraft: Shrinky Dinks Lobby Drop-In - Friday, August 1, 3:30-5:30pm
This month’s GeekCraft is going to be a drop-in craft held in our lobby, where you can create your own colorful shrinky dink in the spirit of the Color Our World reading challenge. No registration required.
The Writer Support Network - Tuesday, August 5, 6:00-7:45pm
The Writer Support Network is a brand-new writing workshop led by Alex White, author of A Big Ship at the Edge of the Universe. The first half of the workshop is writing, while the second half is reading and discussion. No matter where you are in your writing journey, this workshop aims to be a supportive place for all writers. Registration required.
Author Visit with Karen White - Monday, August 11, 6:00-7:45pm*
*This event will be held at the Alpharetta Library.
The Alpharetta and Milton Libraries are thrilled to welcome bestselling author Karen White for an author visit! White will discuss her highly anticipated new novel, That Last Carolina Summer, followed by an audience Q&A and book signing. Registration required through the Bookmiser Eventbrite linked on the event page.
“The Art of Getting Along” is a program series beginning the 19th and continuing weekly through September, focusing on conflict resolution in various aspects of life. Each week will focus on a different conflict-related topic, but every session stands alone, so you can choose to attend one or all without worry. Presented by True Center. Registration required.
We look forward to seeing you join us for these programs and more as the year continues!
