Access and inclusion in library spaces is paramount. In February low vision awareness month is observed.
According to the American Library Association’s Accessibility Blindness and Low Vision Resources, low vision refers to a condition in which an individual has some usable sight, but not enough to perform daily activities—such as reading or driving—without assistance. Individuals with low vision may have difficulty recognizing distant images or distinguishing between similar colors. Many benefit from large print materials, high-contrast signage, and well-lit environments.

Fulton County Library System has a wonderful partnership with the Georgia Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled. The Georgia Library Service is located at Central Library, Monday-Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm
