The Fulton County Library System and Dragon Con joined forces to honor Dolly Parton and her lifelong commitment to childhood literacy.
During Dragon Con's Opening Ceremonies, fans donated new and gently used books for children ages 2 to 16. The goal was 3,000 books. Attendees gave 4,574 in just two hours. These books will support the library's outreach programs, reaching children and families through neighborhood visits, community events, schools, and more.
Each book is another chance for a child to meet a new character, get lost in a story, or find a book they love. Thank you to every Dragon Con fan who helped make this drive a success.
