On October 25th, Best Buy Teen Tech Center (BBTTC) welcomes Malachi Mentoring Ministry, a church group for young people learning life skills, for a Technology Day. In the first hour, the kids had to complete an LED Robot flashlight project. As an introduction to electricity, the teens learn how to build a circuit. While some kids struggle to get through the project, ultimately, it was a learning experience in perseverance and not giving up.
Once everyone had the robot flashlight working, the kids and teens separated to start their own independent projects in the BBTTC. The Center offers so many projects for teens to do. Two kids started a 3D printing project, creating small figurines. The recording studio was very popular among the youths, with everyone taking turns to play around with GarageBand. Most notable were the t-shirt designing projects by siblings: Blessing, Chosen, and Q’Anthony, honoring their mother’s battle with breast cancer. Overall, this tour was meant to show all the possibilities of the Best Buy Teen Tech Center.
