MALCon 2026 at Milton Library: Guests! Part Two…

MALCon 2026 at Milton Library: Guests! Part Two…

We’re thrilled to announce the return of MALCon (Milton-Area Library Convention)—our homegrown celebration of fandoms, creativity, and community! Inspired by beloved events like DragonCon, MomoCon, and AWA, MALCon brings the spirit of fan conventions to the heart of Milton and the setting of the Milton Library.

After a fantastic turnout at our inaugural event in 2019 and a record-breaking revival in 2025 with nearly 900 people stepping through the doors, we’re building something even bigger for MALCon 2026, happening on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 10:30 AM to 5:45 PM. The entire library will transform into a vibrant hub of panels, workshops, demos, fan and vendor tables, and interactive activities for all ages.

Special Guest Announcements Part Two

We’re excited to welcome an incredible lineup of professional guests to MALCon 2026:

Karen Gonzalez

Karen Gonzalez is a long time IT manager, singer and fan of scifi (especially Star Trek), attending DragonCon for 10 years so far. Initially, she wore nerdy tees, enjoying the amazing array of cosplay from the sidelines. Then a costuming Facebook page inspired her. Since then, Karen has assembled a variety of cosplays. She loves the chance to pay it forward by inspiring others to cosplay!

Sarah Madsen

Sarah Madsen is a game designer and author of Weaver’s Folly and When the Stars Bleed. She has contributed to TTRPG projects from Wizards of the Coast, Kobold Press, MCDM, Beadle & Grimm, and more. In addition, she has written for the video games the Necromancer’s Tale and Ages of Cataria. Find her at unfetteredmuse.com.

Gina Gallois, Ph.D.

Gina Gallois is an educator, creator, entrepreneur, and parent. She lives in Atlanta with her husband Fab, their two children, two emotional support cats and a bearded dragon. Gina's books focus on misunderstood creatures, like opossums and cicadas and many others. Quantum Possum is Gina's first graphic novel and the beginning of a thrilling new series!

Marshall J. Moore

Marshall J. Moore is the award-winning author of two fantasy trilogies, over thirty short stories, and the upcoming cozy horror novel The Henchperson’s Guide to Unionizing (Bantam Books, Fall 2026). He is represented by Brent Taylor at Triada US.
