November was designated National Career Development Month in 1967 by the National Career Development Association. Today, the NCDA focuses on helping people attain fulfilling life and career goals. Here at the Central Library, we are also committed to helping patrons access the information they need to gain new skills, pivot to a new career, or achieve a career goal. For example, the Learning Express Job and Career Accelerator and Universal Class are online learning platforms geared towards career advancement. Just login with your library card to get started. Library branches across Fulton County also offer in person programs that can connect you with likeminded patrons, help you learn something new, or get a career skills refresh. See our events page here: Career Events to register for events near you. Finally, take advantage of our wide catalog of career development books with the list below.
