September is National Preparedness Month, a time to focus on being ready for unexpected emergencies and disasters. This was first established by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in 2004 and this year’s theme is Preparedness Starts at Home. It takes several steps to remain prepared in case there is a disaster which includes building emergency kits, making a family emergency plan, and getting involved within your communities.
Being prepared can make a huge difference when facing natural disasters, power outages, or other emergencies. Below are some resources and books that you can review to help protect you and your loved in cases of an emergency.
