NESO Summer Art Club Recap

As we close the chapter on this year's summer art club, NESO celebrated all of our wonderful children participants with their very own art show this week! All summer long, we took a tour through art history and learned about different movements with themed projects. We started the summer with Impressionism and Post-Impressionism, where we created fork-scrape paintings inspired by Vincent Van Gogh. Next, we introduced the Cubism style with a collage portrait craft inspired by Pablo Picasso. After that, we explored Abstract Expressionism by making watercolor puddle paintings inspired by Helen Frankenthaler. We followed that with Pop Art, where we colored bold pieces inspired by Andy Warhol. Finally, we ended the summer by highlighting Contemporary Art with polka dot paintings inspired by Yayoi Kusama. All of these programs brought out the inner creativity in our patrons, with some parents even joining in on the fun alongside their children! Those who left their art with us got to see their masterpieces on display at the show and went home with a certificate celebrating their artistic achievement. Thank you to all of our incredible little artists for making NESO's summer art club such a success!
