One Book, One Read Author Talk and Celebration – September 30

Earlier this year, the Fulton County Library System kicked off its countywide book club, the 2nd Annual One Book, One Read program.  The goal of the program is to get as many people across Fulton County reading, talking about, and engaging with the same book. The goal is to promote conversations, community building, and literacy while having fun with your friends, family, and neighbors.

In just 2 weeks, Fulco Library, with support from the Atlanta-Fulton Public Library Foundation, will host a special visit with the authors of the Personal Librarian, Marie Benedict, and Victoria Christopher Murray, on Saturday, September 30th at 6 pm at the Central Library in downtown Atlanta. Both authors will be on hand to discuss the book, answer audience questions, and participate in the book signing following the talk. Books will be available for purchase through ACapella Books during the event.

PLEASE NOTE:  While seating for this event is currently full, additional seating will be made available during the event just outside the main auditorium,  with a live feed available for viewing along with the opportunity to meet the authors at the book signing.  Please join the waitlist to ensure your space in one of our two remote seating lounges at the Central Library.

In addition to viewing the event in person at the Central Library, the program will also be broadcast on the Library's YouTube Channel on the evening of September 30th.  Simply tune in at 6 pm and click on the live program to watch from the comfort of home.

It's not too late to join a library branch book club.  Simply visit your local library to learn more about their individual Book Club readings of The Personal Librarian, then join us at the Central Library, in downtown Atlanta for the culmination of this exciting event.

You can also download a digital copy of The Personal Librarian on demand and read this incredible story before September 30th!
