Atlanta, GA – The Fulton County Library System is proud to present a free public concert featuring Pianos for Peace- “Music from the Heart” with art by Reginald Laurent as we honor our veteran community on Saturday, August 5th, 2023, at 1:00 pm.

“A Symphony for Peace” is a unique event that combines art and music to promote peace and harmony in our community. The event will feature live performances as well as an exhibit of artwork by Reginald Laurent

Reginald Laurent is a renowned abstract artist whose work has been exhibited in galleries and museums around the world and is currently in the Fulton County art collection.  His work is known for its vibrant colors and bold designs, which are on full display in the library, including “Life & Love”, a 99-canvas installation. Laurent recently completed a baby grand piano for Pianos for Peace, and this amazing work of art will be played during the concert. Laurent’s art will be on exhibit at the Central Library until September 21, 2023.

“We are thrilled to have partnered with Reginald Laurent as part of this event,” said Central Library Administrator, Dr. Cheryl Small. “His art is a perfect complement to the library’s aesthetics and his Pianos for Peace baby grand is a welcome addition to our library. We are excited to share this art and music experience with the community and our esteemed veterans.”

Laurent also created a limited-edition commemorative collage for the event, titled, “The Spirit of the Veteran”. Laurent Originals, LLC. Is donating 20% of the proceeds to the Veteran’s Empowerment Organization.
