About Laufey
Laufey has captivated a generation with virtuosic songs of love and self-discovery by manifesting her vision of jazz- and classical-infused pop music. After becoming the youngest ever recipient of the GRAMMY for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album (for Bewitched), the Icelandic-Chinese composer and singer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist further crystalizes her singular sound on A Matter of Time. “I’m constantly thinking about classical and jazz, how to properly preserve them and pay homage.” For this album she continues to do so while also feeling freer than ever to, as she puts it, “let my heart wander.” To that end, Laufey teams with fellow producers Spencer Stewart and Aaron Dessner to break the set of expectations she herself set, serving up a transcendent sound and honest writing that cuts to the heart. It’s the culmination of an incredible journey that began with her playing cello with the Iceland Symphony as a teen before writing her first charting single while studying jazz at Berklee College of Music. Laufey’s many achievements have since grown to include over 5 billion global streams, the biggest jazz LP debut in Spotify history, an album in Billboard’s Top 20, a pile of Platinum plaques, a Forbes 30 Under 30 designation, and, in 2025, being named one of TIME’s Women of the Year. She’s also: sold out the Madison Square Garden, Crypto.com Arena, Red Rocks Amphitheatre and London’s Royal Albert Hall; performed backed by the LA Phil, the National Symphony Orchestra, and the London Philharmonic Orchestra; shared the stage with the likes of Jon Batiste, Noah Kahan, Hozier and Raye; and collaborated on record with artists including Barbra Streisand, Role Model, Beabadoobee and Norah Jones.

Today, the club has over 350,000 dedicated followers across social platforms and serves as a vibrant community where members exchange ideas, inspirations, and discussions around monthly book selections.
