Fulton County Library System Invites Readers to Say “I Do” To The 2026 One Book, One Read Selection

A wedding. A family reunion. A weekend filled with secrets.

The Fulton County Library System is inviting readers across the county to experience the suspense together with its 2026 One Book, One Read selection, The Last One at the Wedding by bestselling author Jason Rekulak.

One Book, One Read is Fulton County’s annual community reading initiative, encouraging residents across the county to read the same book and share in conversations sparked by the story. By bringing readers together around a single title, the program promotes literacy, dialogue, and connection among neighbors, book clubs, and library visitors.

This year’s selection, The Last One at the Wedding, offers readers a suspenseful narrative, perfect for sparking conversation in libraries, book clubs, and communities throughout the county.

In The Last One at the Wedding, a father attends the lavish wedding of his estranged daughter, hoping for reconciliation. Instead, the celebration slowly unravels unsettling secrets about the groom and the powerful family hosting the event. What begins as a joyful gathering becomes a tense, suspenseful weekend where long-buried truths come to light.

“We’re thrilled to bring Jason Rekulak’s The Last One at the Wedding to readers across Fulton County,” said Gayle Holloman, Executive Director of the Fulton County Library System. “It’s the kind of suspenseful story that keeps you turning pages and makes you eager to talk about it with others. We hope the suspense and surprises spark lively conversations in book clubs and libraries across our community.”

To further celebrate the program, the Library System, with generous support from the Atlanta-Fulton Public Library Foundation, will host a special author event featuring Jason Rekulak. The program will include a live conversation with Rekulak, moderated by Karyn Greer, award-winning journalist and anchor for Channel 2 Action News. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask the author questions and participate in a book signing following the discussion.
