Atlanta, GA — August 26— The Fulton County Library System is proud to announce the launch of Kingdom of Readmoor: A World of Wonder, an immersive literacy adventure transforming all 34 library branches into unique fantasy realms from August 24 through September 30. This countywide initiative invites patrons of all ages to embark on quests, explore magical spaces, and celebrate reading through interactive challenges and collectible rewards.
As part of the celebration, FulcoLibrary is introducing limited‑edition Laufey Library Cards, created in partnership with the American Library Association (ALA) and inspired by Laufey’s ongoing support for libraries, literacy, and young readers. These special cards will be available as rewards during the World of Wonder quest period.
A Countywide Fantasy Experience
From August 24 to September 30, visitors can:
- Explore Library Realms — Each of the 34 branches has transformed into a distinct fantasy world, complete with themed decorations, quests, and story elements.
- Pick Up a World of Wonder Map — As stated in the program materials, “Pick up your free World of Wonder map at any FulcoLibrary location to start your adventure.”
- Collect Stickers — “Each library visit or completed quest earns a sticker for your map,” encouraging exploration across multiple branches.
- Complete Quests — Reading challenges, branch activities, and mystery quests guide families through the Kingdom of Readmoor storyline.
- Unlock Rewards — Participants can earn special prizes, including the limited‑edition Laufey Library Cards and a World of Wonder puzzle.
Laufey’s Role Through the American Library Association
The limited‑edition Laufey Library Cards celebrate Laufey’s collaboration with the American Library Association, where she has championed youth literacy, creative learning, and the importance of public libraries. Her involvement brings national attention to Fulton County’s innovative approach to engaging young readers.
