The Best Buy Teen Tech Center (BBTTC) is not only the place for teens to explore technology, but also where they can gain essential skills and tools for jobs and careers.
In the spring of 2025, our partners at Best Buy and Microsoft hosted monthly career prep workshops where our teens learned about hard and soft skills like technical proficiency and conflict resolution skills, creating outstanding resumes and LinkedIn profiles, and leaving lasting impressions at job interviews. Teens of working age were also presented with opportunities to work at Best Buy retail stores and Microsoft as interns during the summer months. In 2025, we had 12 teens selected as interns.
Career prep workshops return this spring as Career and Job Readiness Day beginning February 7th. Our partners at Best Buy and Microsoft will be at the BBTTC every first and third Saturday from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM. Teens ages 13-17 are invited to register for this wonderful opportunity. Please note that although teens within this age range may attend this program, only teens ages 15 and older will be considered for potential employment with our partners.
