This July we are celebrating 250 years of US history, culture, and togetherness while using some great resources from the Digital Library at Fulton County! At Fulton County Library we are also continuing our Year of the Book celebration with the themes of "America250" and "Digging into History".
Learn about the history and cultures of the US with Infobase American History! Infobase American History includes articles, primary documents, videos, images, and more that span from America's prehistory to the present. Students of all ages can read primary sources such as Frederick Douglass' speech "What to the Slave Is the Fourth of July" or learn about daily life in the 1920s from a variety of sources including videos, articles, and photographs. Patrons can also dig into even more American history by exploring the resources available in Infobase African American History and Infobase American Indian History.
Dig deep into your family's history or find your ancestral roots with My Heritage Library Edition. My Heritage has billions of records, spanning five centuries, including photographs, passenger lists, censuses, and more. Patrons can also check out Fold3 Library Edition to search thousands of public military records. Fold3 is valuable resource for those who are interested in genealogy research. With these tools, you can learn more about your family's history in America this summer using your library card number and PIN!
