Last week, CreativX Lab focused on Chatbots, specifically how to create them and how the teens can benefit from them. Usually, but not always, a website or an app will have a chatbot to help users with any questions they have. A chatbot is an AI agent programmed to respond to certain phrases. The workshop would discuss how chatbots think and process language by using Natural Language Processing (NLP) and how to build decision trees.
Using Voiceflow, an AI generator for AI agents, the participants were able to make their own chatbots. In addition, the participants could customize the chatbots by changing the appearance to their own liking. They could even add a voice to give their chatbot more character. If they wanted to create a chatbot for teens, they could stylize the language to be more informal and use slang. In addition, Ms. Shana explained how chatbots can be monetized. Ultimately, the workshop showed the teens a career path they can take in the STEM field.
