This year is quickly moving toward the end. It is the time of year when I think about the leaves, the trees, and the changing weather.
Some songs come to mind and serve as a soundtrack for the seasons. One of them is the song by the Mamas and the Papas called “California Dreamin'.” I also love to hear Queen Latifah sing that nostalgic song. The lyrics mention leaves and the changing of things.
We ask you to come into our libraries this fall and into the winter to spend some time looking at and checking out materials that you find interesting for you and your family. Perhaps you can find time to read aloud to a child or an elderly person. Books, e-books, magazines, and reference materials are freely available to you at your local library. The only thing you need to do is use your library card, which is free if you keep it in good standing. We are here at the library. We’d love to see you come in and start your fall. It’s all there for you. See you soon.
