Happy October, Let’s Make It Yours!

You're walking outside and feel something unfamiliar to the skin for the last few months. A cool breeze caresses your face ushering out the heat that has been so prevalent for the last few months.  For a moment you're taken aback. Then, you reach into your pocket and disturb the slumber of your digital companion to read the date "October 2, 2025". It all makes sense: The longer nights, lower temperatures and pumpkin silhouettes that have slowly worked their way back into the hearts, minds, and stomachs of the general public.  It's October! One of the most anticipated "-ber" months in the collection.

The word and month "October" has a lot of connotations attached. Be it Halloween, football games, apple orchards, overalls, fall, pumpkins and their spice, costumes, the sticky sweet scent of cinnamon buns, this month has something to offer everyone! No matter what you do or celebrate, why not incorporate a little "October" into your routine this fall?

That is why I have compiled a list of suggestions to help you foster a Happy October.

  • Participate in an event at your local library in October
  • *Create your own fall / October bingo card.
  • Explore recent staff lists for some seasonal books.

  • Rent a Scooby-Doo Movie from the library and eat an identical meal while you watch.
