Tech Teens, Inc. came to the Best Buy Teen Tech Center (BBTTC) to teach local kids and teens the basics of coding and robotics. To start, the instructors taught the kids what coding is and how to apply the concept to robots.
Finally, the teens test their skills on the computers. With the help of the instructors, the teens started using Python, a common coding language for beginners to learn. As a helpful tool, the instructors created a packet with helpful hints for the kids to follow. As a fun side project, each teen got interviewed expressing why they came to the Best Buy Teen Tech Center for this program. Many stated due to being surrounded by technology most of their lives, they wanted firsthand to see how coding works. In the end, all the kids created a video game that they got to play on. Ultimately, the teens learn the behind-the-scenes of how technology works.
