Louise Watley Library at Southeast has a notary on staff!
Set hours for notarization services are 1:00-4:00pm Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, 1:00-4:00pm and 7:00-7:45pm on Tuesday, and 12:00-2:00pm Friday/Saturday. Please call the main branch number at (404) 613-5771 to inquire about weekend availability, as Fulco staff works alternating Friday's/Saturday's.
While generally available during set hours, it is best to call before making the trip to ensure the notary is on-site. You can also email directly at Elijah.Istre@fultoncountyga.gov to set up an appointment in advance within the set hours.
Once you've confirmed, make sure you bring an unexpired photo ID with you such as a drivers license, ID card, or passport with you. It doesn't have to be Georgia specific, or even USA, as long as its unexpired with your name and picture. The notary will need it to enter into his notary journal as required by Georgia notary law (https://www.gsccca.org/notary-...) Please note that notaries are not equipped to give legal advise, all they do is confirm that the person appearing before them is in fact the person signing the presented document.
Notary services are completely free in accordance with Fulco libraries policy of keeping its services free and open to its patrons. Please note, this service is only at the Southeast branch and not system wide.
