July is Worldwide Watercolor Month! This observance was started by Charlie O’Shields, the founder of Doodlewash, in 2016. Worldwide Watercolor month encourages artists all over the world to paint with watercolors and foster connections through art. For the entire month, you can post your watercolor paintings with #WorldWatercolorMonth and #WorldWatercolorMonth2026 to participate!

Even if you do not paint, there are many ways to support the arts this July. Georgia and Atlanta-area have watercolor groups like the Georgia Watercolor Society that offer information, classes, and exhibitions through the year.
