Book Review: The Wide Circumference of Love by Marita Golden

Looking for your next read? Check out The Wide Circumference of Love by Marita Golden, reviewed by Fulco Library staff, Andaiye S.

Author Marita Golden pens a warm, respectful and sometimes jarring fictional account of one family's unexpected journey through Alzheimer's disease. When the Tate family patriarch's memory starts to decline, all are forced to question their responsibilities to the family and to themselves. This multigenerational character study is a roller coaster of emotions packed into 10 hours and 24 minutes. The lush narration of voice actress Patricia R. Floyd is the perfect companion to this thoughtful tribute to those who suffer and their caregivers. This title was named an NPR Best Book and nominated for an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Literary Work.
