To start February off, CreativX Lab continues its trend with music. Building on the success of the previous session in learning music production, last week’s session focused on audio engineering and electronics by constructing a Bluetooth speaker. Shana, the instructor, provided the teens with STEM kits that included all the necessary tools and pieces for assembly.
After reading the instructions and dividing into teams, the teens were ready to start constructing the device. With help from Shana and her volunteers, all the groups were able to assemble and get their speakers working. To test their new device, the teens compared the speaker in their phones to the Bluetooth speakers they built. Once they were finished, each teen took turns connecting their phones to the speakers and playing their favorite songs.
Ultimately, this was a nice gateway project for participants interested in learning more about audio engineering and electronics.
