Holiday Prep Time!

From Diwali last week until Chinese New Year in mid-February, the calendar is now firmly within holiday season! With at least one cultural celebration a week happening for the next twelve weeks, it can be tough to keep up with presents, meals, and celebrations. As always, you can turn to Fulton County Library System for help with all your holiday needs. Start your holiday prep this week and get ahead!

Looking to make the perfect gift in this time of supply chain woes? Take a look at Creativebug for inspiration, our crafting portal offering instructional videos, downloadable patterns, and message boards where makers of all ages can ask questions as they put together handmade creations. With projects for all skill levels and a monthly look book video to help survey the newest trends, Creativebug is a center for crafters of all ages.

Need ideas for the next holiday dinner? Take a look through our extensive cookbook collection on Overdrive, and screencap your favorite recipes to use later. Don't see quite what you want online? Take a visit to any of our library locations and spread out several book options on a study table to help you decide which title to check out or photocopy. Need help learning cooking techniques? This full college course for chefs of all ages is taught by Professor Sean Kahlenberg of the Culinary Institute of America, and includes valuable lessons like Choosing the Best Method to Cook Vegetables and Cooking the Perfect Thanksgiving Turkey. Don't panic at the idea of friend and family gatherings - let the library be your guide to planning and preparing holidays everyone will remember.

Remember that you are limited to ten selections per month on Kanopy. The Thanksgiving lesson is number fifteen in this twenty-four lesson course.
