Make a Japanese Hand Fan at Central Library!

The Children's Department at Central Library kicked off Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month with a two-for-one storytime and craft program, opens a new window. On Wednesday, May 6th, kids ages 3-12 read Once Upon a Book by Grace Lin, opens a new window and created Japanese Hand Fans. Templates with beautiful imagery were provided for the littles to decorate and take home. Although storytime for this book has passed, kids can still visit the Children's Department to create their own hand fans. Checkout photos from all of the fun below.
