Unearthing Stories with Auntie Renee

Auntie Renee is storyteller and performer. She performed at the Central Library on July 1st as a part of the system-wide Summer Reading program. She read ancient stories about dinosaurs, Egypt, and more. The kids received a fully immersive experience for this program. They got to help Auntie Renee bring each story to life by becoming the characters and wearing various masks and other props. We had paleontologists, a mummy, an elephant, a cat, a zebra, lots of dinosaurs, and much more! Auntie Renee also brought dinosaur eggs and other interactive toys and tools to make the experience that much more memorable for the kids.
