National Hispanic Heritage Month is from September 15-October 15. The Mechanicsville Library is excited to celebrate with a book display for all ages! We also have a take and make craft for families. The craft is Papel picado. Papel Picado is also known as " cut paper banners." This traditional cut paper folk art is found throughout Mexico and the former colonies of Spain as well as in the folk traditions of many other countries. Pick up a packet at the library to learn more!
