Earth Day is annually celebrated on April 22nd and here at the Digital Library we are celebrating by learning, exploring and being creative! The theme for this year is "Our Power, Our Planet", which focuses on clean energy, biodiversity, and ways in which we can collectively protect our home.
Explore an e-learning module about Mother Earth's biomes or diverse plant life with Science Online. You can learn about important topics in Earth and environmental science such as climate change, the future of coral reefs, and clean energy through videos and articles. Science Online also offers resources such as timelines, experiments, and access to writing tools for students and educators. Build a garden this Earth Day with plants that attract pollinators or try growing your own fruits and vegetables via container gardening! Not sure where to start? Earth Day can be also be a day for creativity. Many people use their voices and creative spirits to spread messages of hope and inform others of the work that needs to be done to protect our planet.
