You’ll learn how to break apart story ideas, structure your narrative, and explore inspiration in fun, visual ways—using nothing more than sticky notes and markers.

About the Author

Alex White is an accomplished science fiction writer known for their high-energy storytelling and imaginative world‑building. Their acclaimed space opera trilogy The Salvagers launched in 2018 with A Big Ship at the Edge of the Universe, followed by A Bad Deal for the Whole Galaxy later that year, and concluded with The Worst of All Possible Worlds in 2021, which earned a starred review and weekly pick from Publishers Weekly.

White has also written popular tie‑in novels for major franchises, including Alien: The Cold Forge (2018) and Alien: Into Charybdis (2021), with elements of their work even inspiring parts of the 2024 film Alien: Romulus. Their contributions to the Star Trek universe include Star Trek: Deep Space Nine: Revenant (2021), featuring Jadzia Dax in a suspenseful blend of science fiction and horror.
