May Displays at Central Library

"Secrets and Stories. May 2026 Displays. Central Library."Central Library continues celebrating The Year of the Book through Secrets and Stories in May. We are highlighting Asian-American, Pacific Islander, and Jewish authors! Patrons will find cookbooks, graphic novels, mysteries, suspense, thrillers, and more genres. Upon entering the Central Library, patrons are greeted by the Stories Without Borders display. This shelf display consists of books and DVDS that celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander perspectives in fiction and nonfiction and across various genres.

1st Floor AAPI Heritage Month Display by Anissa Alexander, Librarian


On the third floor near the public computers, patrons will find another The Year of the Book Secrets and Stories display. This book display contains materials written by Asian-American and Pacific Island authors. Patrons will find cookbooks, graphic novels, memoirs and biographies, and fiction novels for adults. Finally, onto the fourth floor! Patrons will find Jewish Heritage and Asian-American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month display board and book display in the Teen area. In the Children's area, you will find book displays filled with stories by and about Asian-American and Pacific Island experiences. Patrons will also find the May Year of the Book themed display: Secrets and Stories. Patrons will find the Secrets and Stories bulletin display, as well as the Community Detective Board, where Junior Detectives can leave tips on how to find the missing mascots, Dewey and Deci.
