The Special Collections Department has a diverse collection of rare books. It includes books that were part of the YMLA collection, the Carnegie Library collection, the Hattie Wilson High Collection, editions of Gone with the Wind, signed editions and various other books generally relating, but not limited to, Georgia and/or Southern history. In addition to published books, the collection includes broadsides, pamphlets and brochures, reports, organizational publications, newsletters, newspapers, scrapbooks, manuscripts, maps and posters.
